Torsion Springs
Torsion Springs, characterized by their helical form, apply torque or rotational force. These springs are affixed to other components, causing them to rotate around the spring's center. As these components rotate, the spring endeavors to return them to their initial position. When force is applied to the ends, the coil tightens into a denser spiral, counteracting the applied force. Commonly found in utility trailers and vehicle doors, torsion springs are produced using coiling or shaping machinery similar to that of extension springs.
